Gyazo - Snapshot your Screen

Post by Whitesox on July 31st 2010, 1:57 pm

How to take a QUICK Screenshot

I've been looking around the forums and I've seen a lot of people have been wondering how to take a picture of your screen.. Well, I decided to make a post and hopefully help out some members!

Method 1: Print Screen Button - Windows
This is the slower way to do it..
Look at the top of your keyboard, it depends if your on a laptop or a computer so the location of it will be different.
A key will say "Prnt Scrn" and under it it will say "SysRq" (It may be different for all)
Once you hit that button it copies the whole screen. To get this uploaded on here you need to save the picture somewhere before. Once you have it saved and know the location upload it to Imageshack, Tinypic, or Photobucket so you can then get the direct link.

Method 2: (For Macs)
This is the same thing as above but for Macs. Instead of pressing the print sceen button, you press Cmd + Shift + 3. Once you do that you will need to save the picture just like the above method and upload it somewhere.

Method 3: Gyazo (Recommended)
Gyazo is a downloadable program that allows you to snapshot and upload your screen the quickest and EASIEST way possible. When you open up Gyazo, it goes straight to the screen-grabbing process.

Directions:

  • Open up the Program.
  • Drag your mouse to the region you want to capture.
  • Once you have your region picked, it INSTANTLY snapshots the screen and uploads it directly to its own URL.

That's ALL!

Link to Website/Download - http://gyazo.com/en

Difference:
Gyazo - 13:67 Seconds to capture and get link.

Print Screen - 143:29 Seconds to capture and get link.

That just shows how much quicker it is! I highly recommend downloading it, NAO.

Did I help you? Comment!
